Debbie Yan
Director
Debbie was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and is currently a VP of Finance for a global GPS tracking software company. Prior to joining The Sharing Farm, Debbie also held the position of treasurer for another non-profit affiliated with SFU that focused on awareness of DEI issues.
As well as being an accountant, Debbie is involved with CPA BC as a mentor to upcoming students in the program. In her spare time, she is a huge foodie and loves to do food-based projects with her husband. She is so excited to be part of the Board and hopes that she can help to bring awareness of the values of the Sharing Farm to the larger community as a member.
Yvonne deBoer
Director
Yvonne has worked for 20 years in business development for engineering service providers for the global mining sector. Through this, she gained exposure to and appreciation of critical ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) initiatives undertaken by mining companies to build their social license to operate within communities and larger jurisdictions. When considering how she as an individual could contribute to the community, she chose to focus on her own backyard. As a passionate gardener, the vision and mission of The Sharing Farm is well-aligned with her own personal values.
Yvonne has been a Richmond resident since 2010. When not gardening, she enjoys adventurous travel, baking artisanal sourdough bread, and doing anything in the great outdoors.
