“Since 2003, Vancity has granted $117,500 to The Sharing Farm through both enviroFundTM and community project grants. In 2012 The Sharing Farm received a $75,000 enviroFundTM grant for its Sustainable Food System Centre project to expand and renovate existing buildings to create a hub for resources, education and facilities for urban farmers and the community. These improvements will increase The Sharing Farm’s ability to support the food bank, community kitchens, school food gardens and emerging farmers.
Also in 2012 Vancity granted $10,000 to The Sharing Farm for its Bees and Seeds project. Funds from this grant will be used to purchase equipment and supplies to create and support bee keeping and seed saving projects at The Sharing Farm. ”
