Garlic Festival Volunteer Registration

Want to give back to your community and be a part of a fun and dynamic festival? The Sharing Farm Society is having our 4th Annual Garlic Festival on August 19th in Terra Nova Rural Park from 10am-3pm. This is the Lower Mainland’s only garlic festival and brings crowds of people to the beautiful Sharing Farm to celebrate the garlic harvest and raise money for our community farm.

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to help with an array of positions before and during the festival. Volunteer name badges and light snacks will be provided for the day. We suggest that you bring a water bottle, wear comfortable shoes and please wear a white shirt with sleeves if you are volunteering during the festival’s hours of 10am-3pm on August 19th.

The Sharing Farm is a non-profit society that grows food for the food bank and community meals. We grow an fruits and vegetables on 4.5 acres using organic and sustainable farming methods. Over the past 10 years have donated over 200,000 lbs of food to those in need.

If you would like to help make this event a success then please fill in the registration form below.

Please note: For volunteers who sign up to help out on August 19th there will be a mandatory orientation meeting at 6pm on August 16th. Orientation will be held at the Red Barn in Terra Nova Rural Park, 2631 Westminster Highway.

We will do our best to accommodate all volunteer requests and get back to you in a timely manner.

We appreciate your support of The Sharing Farm and look forward to having you be a part of Garlic Festival 2012.
