This workshop will cover the basics of choosing, propagating and caring for flowering plants, as well as avoiding pitfalls. You will take away a holistic understanding of flowering plants, one that will compliment vegetable gardening and smaller garden spaces.  The workshop will go into some detail about plant care geared for our local climate.

It is essential to have a tool-kit of skills to create and maintain organic, bountiful and life-supporting gardens. Not only do flowering plants serve as sources of food for beneficial insects and birds, they act as indicators of the health and virility of your garden.

About the instructor: Master Gardener, Bardia Khaledi is Co-President of the VanDusen Botanical Garden Seed Collectors and is on the Board of Directors of London Heritage Farm in charge of gardens.
