Seed Saving Workshop with Dan Jason (owner of Salt Spring Seeds)
Monday, Oct 3rd
Red Barn, Terra Nova Rural Park
Take part in the age old practice of seed saving with Dan Jason of Salt Spring Seeds. Understand the importance of heritage seeds in the modern food system. Enjoy a hands-on demonstration of harvesting seeds in preparation for next season’s planting. For a bargain price, take home Dan Jason’s book, Saving Seeds As If Our Lives Depended On It.

Weekly Thursday Orchard Work Parties Continue until end of September

We need help with weeding, mulching, and prepping the orchard for Applepalooza!

Please note these workshops, held in the Healing Garden, are on Wednesday evenings, not Saturdays as previously posted.  These workshops cover a new topic each month including teas, salves and tinctures; growing and propagating herbal first aid plants; and drying and storing herbs.
