Well, who would of thought ‘back to school’ week would’ve been so hectic! Between that, tending my own garden, and all the home canning I’ve been doing, it’s seem there has been very little time for anything else.
However things are now settling downinto their routines, (as I trust they are for everyone else too,) and I hope to get back to some regular picking.
The last pick we had was for Plums, and it turned out to be a surprisingly good one, with 60lbs of nice Italian Plums harvested. Thanks to all the folks who came out and helped, it was a lot of fun.
And it seems we’re not done with Plums yet. We’ve another opportunity this Thursday evening. The pick is as follows:
Plum pick this Thursday Sept 15th at 6:15pm
(we’ll be starting a little earlier this week, as it’s getting dark sooner.)
10620 Ainsworth Crescent (slightly west of Shell Rd, north of Steveston Hwy)
The tree is around the side of the house
If you have a little time (I’m shooting for an hour or less) on Thursday evening to help, that would be great.
As usual I’ve put Google Map to where the pick is, so please let me know if you have a problem with it. (Thanks.)
Also, if you think you can come and help out, please drop me a quick e-mail. Likewise, if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thank again for all of your help, and hope to see you soon!

“It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men’s hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.”
– Robert Louis Stevenson
