Well, we had a nice inaugural pick last week! I’m happy to report we were able to harvest a couple of boxes, and ended up with about 115 lbs of Transparent Apples for the Richmond Food Bank.
Now I know I said were not getting a lot of calls just yet, (and we’re not,) however we’ve had a couple of opportunities come up, so if you can spare an hour of your time, we could use the help.
There is a delicious Golden Plum tree we’ve picked in past years, and it’s ready to go again. I’d like to try and do this one on this Thursday evening at 6:30pm, as thery are just ready for picking.
And someone has offered us their Blueberry patch for picking. While it’s not a huge patch, (only about 6-8 bushes,) there are lots of blueberries on them andthere are no ladders are required. And no one has to worry about having a blueberry fall on their head. Kids most welcome. I’d like to get to this one Sunday morning at 10am
