We had a very nice Plum harvest yesterday, which yielded around 85 lbs of very juicy Golden Plums. Delicious!
Many thanks to the volunteers who came out and gave of their time.
And speaking of volunteers, I was hoping to get your feedback regarding our summer picking schedule. As we are gearing up, I’d like to know if there is any preference as to the days I set up for the picks? Is there a particular day of the week that just doesn’t work for you? Do you prefer Saturdays over Sundays?
I was thinking of probably going with picks on one evening a week, and possibly a weekend morning, but nothing is carved in stone just yet, so please send me your suggestions.
And a quick reminder about this weekend’s Blueberry pick. It’s as follows:
Blueberry pick this Sunday August 21st at 10:30am
The pick location is 4531 Odlin Place, in the backyard.
At present, we don’t have anyone volunteering for this one, but I’m hoping a couple of you will be able to spare an hour this Sunday morning.
As mentioned, I have lots of buckets and pails to help with the picking, so all we’ll need is the labour.
If you think you can come and help out, please drop me a quick e-mail.
Likewise, if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thank again for all of your help, and hope to see you soon!
