Well it’s seems we just can’t get enough of those tasty blueberries.
After the pick on July 31st, which brought in over 50lbs of them, and another on August 18th, which yielded over 60lbs (!!!,special thanks to Shirley Guan, who organized 10 of her high school friends to come out for that one, well done,) we have yet another opportunity to pick even more of blueberries.
This isa great chance to get a lot of blueberries for the Food Bank and other agencies, so the more people we can get out there, the better it will be.
The location is :
10571 Granville Avenue, (between No. 4 and Shell Rd, on the north side.) I’ve put a link to Google maps below to show you where it is.
I’ve found that it’s better to pick earlier rather then later, as it can get hot. So we’ll be doing a morning pick, from 9am to 11am.
There is some parking in the driveway area, and it’s ok to park on the sides of Granville Ave.
The blueberries are short bushes, so they are easy to pick (kids can come to, no ladders required.) However you are in the sun (with no shade,) so hats, drinks, and sunscreen are highly recommended.
If you have buckets or containers, please bring them too as they are good for easy storage while picking, (and don’t worry if you don’t, I’ll have a few extras that can be used.)
Likewise, if you have any questions, please let me know.
It should be a nice sunny morning, so hopefully we’ll have lots of folks there. Thanks once again.
